" "The recipes detailed in Cell and Science don't require embryos at all — or even unfertilized human egg cells. Instead, the technique involves slipping a set of four genes into skin cells, in a specially prepared culture that coaxes the cells to behave like an embryonic stem cell.
Like embryonic stem cells, these reprogrammed cells become "pluripotent" — that is, they're capable of turning themselves into virtually any tissue type in the human body, including neurons and heart tissue. "
ho hum YAWN, you leftwing hyperventillation monkeys! instead of following the lefty playbook of trampling the moral concerns of the majority in order to roll out a quick fix, we're actually solving a complex, scientific problem creatively without taking a crap on our collective conscience. now, bring those troops home!

What majority is that? Or did you just make it up?
we're actually solving a complex,

In other words you're wasting lots of valuable time and money, to solve a problem that doesn't exist, in order to "save" embryos that will be thrown in the garbage anyway. Good thinking!
"But in their current state, the recipes are too risky for disease treatment, and even the scientists behind the latest studies cautioned that therapies are still years away. In announcing their discoveries, they emphasized that much more research still needs to be done on stem cells that have been derived from human embryos."
It's a waste of fucking time is what it is. Hey MoRon, you realize the embryos in question are DISCARDED by fertility clinics. Only a true fucking idiot would rather this be the case than using them to save lives.

Uhh, dude. The majority of Americans are in favor of embryonic stem cell research, just as they favor the availability of safe, legal abortions. In this case, it's the concerns of a relatively small minority that keep attempting to trample majority rule.
Nice troll though. I give it a 6.

i guess i forgot to consider the concerns of canadians when discussing how americans go about solving more of their health problems. apologies. i won't forget the freeloaders going forward.

new discovery en route to new discovery is waste. thanks for the insight, einstein.

so, knowing how to reprogram regular cells isn't valuable? where do you guys get your crystal balls?
